City Council met last night and found it hard to do business as quickly as they would have like with three of the nine missing from the meeting.

The depleted council was unable to suspend the three reading rule on any ordinances last night due to a lack of members, even after 2nd Ward councilman Ayers Ratliff made the 6th member in attendance last night.

Council only have first readings for ordinances on the agenda last night

Council, at the request of Councilwoman Rebecca Gustin, got a report on attendance and revenue at the Aquatic Center since its opening June 6th, and the numbers look good in the short time it has been open.

There will be a special meeting of city Council Next Tuesday, June 19, at 6:45 p.m. to consider ordinances for the South Prospect St Sewer project and the land transfer to habitat for humanity.
